One knight. Four directions.
This example contains down, left, right, and up walking tracks: 8 frames each, 32 frames in total. Inspect the original atlas and its animation data.

From your idea to an engine import
Create your character
Choose a top-down game context, a style, and four walking directions. Keep the character description focused on silhouette, clothing, and colors.
Review the movement
Preview each direction in the app. Check foot placement and the transition between the last and first frames.
Choose your package
Godot exports are intended to include the PNG, JSON, and a SpriteFrames resource. The current resource needs correction before direct import can be recommended.
Validate in your project
Test frame textures, scale, timing, and direction changes in your own scene. Do not rely on a still atlas alone as proof that the animation imports correctly.
More than a flat image.
The intended Godot package contains:
- atlas.png — transparent character atlas
- spritesheet.json — frame and animation data
- spritesheet.tres — generated SpriteFrames resource (validation blocked)
15 credits. A full set of moves.
One generation can contain up to 8 animations with up to 8 frames each. The final engine layout can differ from this 64-frame maximum.

Is the example a Godot project?
No. It is the real portable PNG and JSON downloaded from a public Spritesheet AI creation. The generated Godot resource currently fails frame validation.
Which Godot version has been checked?
The resource was checked with Godot 4.7.2. It produced empty animation tracks; compatibility with other versions is not claimed.
Can I choose more than four directions?
A generation supports up to eight animation tracks, with up to eight frames each. This example specifically has four tracks and 32 frames.
